Installation of Wellhead Compressors at Location – E & G of
Titas Gas Field Project of BGFCL
Wellhead pressures at Location- E & G of Titas Gas Field have been declining at the rate of about 90 psig annually and the present wellhead pressure declined to around 1,000 psig. In order to facilitate the production & supply of natural gas to the national gas grid transmission pipelines at the rated pressure, flow and temperature, the Bangladesh Gas Fields Company Limited (BGFCL) intended to develop the energy sector with various upstream investments. Installation of Wellhead Compressors Project is one such investment where Govt. of Bangladesh (GoB) has approved for implementation of the project by BGFCL s own resources.
Introduction of wellhead compressor technology for capacity transmission of natural gas through gas grid pipelines became essential with a view to meeting the supply of gas at the rated pressure in Bangladesh. It was identified that the most cost effective facility option for transmission of natural gas to the national gas grid is installation of Six (6) Nos. of Including Process Plant wellhead compressors at Location- E & G of Titas Gas Field of BGFCL at Brahmanbaria.
