The Pegasus Umbilical Group is made up of competent reliable engineers and client representatives that are capable of providing umbilical engineering design, tubing and umbilical manufacture inspection, and umbilical installation and commissioning management.
Through the use of inhouse programs developed specifically for deepwater umbilical design and project management, our engineers can perform detailed chemical flow analysis for cold environments, dynamic analysis, deepwater umbilical cross section design, prepare route layouts, deepwater subsea termination and host termination interface design as well as chemical distribution schemes for multi-well subsea developments. Our database of information from previous projects allows us to provide detailed accurate cost estimates and schedules during project system selection and AFE development.
We have prepared, and successfully utilized, detailed specifications for deepwater umbilical tubing manufacture and welding, one of the most critical aspects of deepwater umbilicals. Although all engineering is performed in Houston, our experience with umbilicals is worldwide. Our team of client representatives have inspected tubing manufacture and welding in Japan, the Czech Republic and Canada while overseeing umbilical manufacture in Norway and the greater Houston area.
